OSU Extension Adams County
OSU Extension Adams County extends the resources and knowledge base of The Ohio State University to the residents of Adams County. Extension conducts programs in four major areas: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, Community Development, and 4-H Youth Development. Adams County is part of the ten-county Ohio Valley Extension Education and Research Area, which also includes Brown, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Scioto, Ross, and Vinton counties.
More about Adams County 4-H: About 700 youth ages 5 and in kindergarten through age 18 belong to one or more of the county’s 30 community based 4-H clubs. These clubs are led by more than 135 adult advisors. 4-H members develop project skills and knowledge and develop life skills such as leadership and citizenship. Most clubs conduct one or more community service projects annually. The highlight of the year for many members is the opportunity to exhibit their projects at the Adams County Fair.
